Educational Program "Papermaking School"

Basic program on papermaking, "Papermaking school" presents first program for professional training in "Academy of Papermaking". It is created in collaboration with experts from the industry and ICP.

The program

86-hour program covers the entire process of paper production. It provides the participants with the acquisition of basic knowledge and understanding of the overall process as well as specific knowledge for various stages of the process. It is designed in eleven modules.

Accompanying processes

Organization

Program is implemented once a week in the afternoon for four school hours. A detailed schedule of each years’ program is adapted to the structure of participants from different companies.

Trainings are implemented in the premises of the Pulp and Paper Institute, Bogišićeva 8, Ljubljana with its laboratory and semi-industrial equipment which also allows for practical presentations and demonstrations of the procedures. Visits to all Slovenian paper mills is organized within the program thus enabling practical demonstrations of processes in the production of various products.

The number of participants in one group is limited to at least 12 and up to 25. Upon the request and if the minimum number of participants is reached, the implementation of the program could be organized in a particular region on a selected location.
