The DECIDE project – “Digital Services for a Circular Economy – a toolkit for regional developers, SMEs” – will be funded with nearly €3 million until mid-2026. It involves 16 partners from 10 countries working towards a green and digital European economy. The project aims to develop methods and tools for circular economy business models targeting SMEs and start-ups in the Danube region. These models are key to achieving the objectives of the European Green Deal.
The lead partner of the project is the Digitalisation Centre (ZD.BB), which acts as a consultancy centre for businesses in the Stuttgart region and supports the digital transformation of SMEs. The project involves networking between partners, which will have a positive impact on the project’s progress and communication.
In April, we held a first kick-off meeting at ZD.BB headquarters to identify the leaders of the different strands, form a steering committee, select good practice examples to work on intensively in the coming months, develop the debate to strengthen the circular economy in a round table and actively participate in circular business model workshops in five areas; packaging, textiles, smart cities, food and batteries. The lead partner also put a strong emphasis on networking between partners, which will definitely have positive effects on the project itself and on the communication between partners.
