Recyclability evaluation
Recyclability of paper and cardboard packaging is defined as capability of removal of papermaking fibres from non-paper components, difficult to disintegrate particles (flakes) and sticky impurities, which are remains of applied packaging adhesives. The content of all mentioned components has to be as low as possible and fibre yield high enough in order for the entire recycling process to be economically efficient.
The laboratory EPL (EcoPaperLoop) method for packaging recyclability determination is a simulation of stock preparation in recycling process and enables quantitative determination of the most important recyclability parameters. We provide recyclability evaluation for different paper products.
