The Pulp and Paper Institute provides testings of physico-mechanical and technological characteristics of paper, cardboard, solid board and raw materials for papermaking. Mechanical and technological laboratories cover all key methods of laboratory testing which are performed by experienced and qualified staff.
Ease of transfer of laboratory research to industrial scale is ensured by pilot devices, which enable due to knowledge and competence of our personnel a comprehensive implementation of research in the area of materials and advanced technologies. Pilot devices include the paper and coating machines as well as an off-line calender.
The Pulp and Paper Institute is also involved in several projects related to the use of waste biomass and other alternative raw materials in the paper industry as well as innovative technologies of processing raw materials and paper within paper production.
